Restaurants & Bars

Phnom Penh has some great restaurants serving foods from around the world, but it also has some of the best Khmer restaurants in Cambodia. There are restaurants serving food with everything from Khmer, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, French, English, American, German, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, Pakistani, Burmese, Malaysian, Russian, Australian foods and lots more.

You can eat in Phnom Penh for less then a dollar at a food stall at the side of the road, but there are many fine restaurants where you can treat yourself for around US$100 per person. One of the most popular places for tourists and travellers is down on the river front where there are many restaurants and bars where you can sit and relax enjoying a meal or a nice cold drink or a hot cappucino.

There are plenty of bars and pubs in Phnom Penh where you can go to have a drink and relax and there are also a number of nightspots where you can drink and dance into the early hours.

Bougainvillier Restaurant

The Bougainvillier is a fine French restaurant located on the river front serving some delicious French food in their air conditioned restaurant.

Cafe Fresco

Cafe Fresco is located on the river front under the FCC and it serves some great sandwiches with their tasty breads, cheeses and hams from their delicatessen bar.

FCC Restaurant

The FCC is located on the river front above the Cafe Fresco and here you will fine some nice meals at reasonable prices.

Friends Restaurant

Friends restaurant is located not far from the National Museum and this is a place where they have training programs for the children who are less fortunate. The children gain skills working in a restaurant and at the restaurant they serve good Khmer and western food.

Frizz Restaurant

Frizz restaurant is down on the river front and they serve some great Khmer food and also some western dishes. If you want to do some Khmer cooking lessons then you can do them here.

Hope and Anchor

The Hope and Anchor is located down on the river front and this is a nice relaxing place for a meal and a drink at time of day. They serve Western and Khmer food.

Lemongrass Restaurant

The Lemongrass restaurant is located just off the river front not far from Indochine 2 hotel. The restaurant serves great Thai and Khmer food.

Malis Restaurant

Malis restaurant is located at #136 Norodom road and this place serves some fantastic Khmer food in a very nice setting.

Pickled Parrot Bar/Restaurant

The Pickled Parrot Bar is on the river front not far from the ferry landing for the boat to Siem Reap. They have a nice bar with pool table and they also serve some really tasty food at very good prices.

Red Hibiscus

Red Hibiscus is mainly a steak house serving some tasty steaks but they also serve other types of dishes. They are located down on the river front.

Sharkeys Bar

Sharkeys Bar is a very popular night spot for drinking but meals are also served in their restaurant. Sharkeys is more geared towards male clientele just ask a moto dop to take you there as it is a well known place and everyone knows it.

Walkabout Bar

The Walkabout bar is a very popular place and it is a hotel, bar and restaurant. It opens until late into the evening.
