Hotels in Phnom Penh are plentiful and it does not really matter where you stay in the city. If you are planning to see most of the major sights and attractions then you will need transport, which you will find very easily as they are scattered around the city. You can find hotels in Phnom Penh with air conditioned rooms from US$10 per night to over a US$1,000 per night and there are both good and bad hotels in each price range. If you are booking a hotel on the Internet, then make sure you take the exact address and phone number in case you can not find it when you arrive.
We strongly advise that you book your hotel directly and in advance, as this way you are more likely to get a good deal and they will also be able to give you more information about the city and their hotel facilities. Some hotels will offer you free pick up from the airport, but most hotels will not offer a pick up from any other arrival points. A taxi from the airport into the city centre costs US$7 and a moto taxi charges US$2.
